Matt Egan at the excellent Shibe Times highlights some notion that we should feel sorry for Adam Eaton now that it has come to light that he won't be given a chance to compete for the Phillies starting rotation.
There isn't even an ounce of me that feels sorry for Adam Eaton. The fact that the Phillies didn't invite him to at least watch the World Series parade down Broad Street tells me that he was doing nothing to help himself, much less the team. If he can't help himself, we shouldn't feel sorry for him. Not one bit.
