Despite being up five runs early, it's the Dodgers who lose their composure. After Dodger catcher Russell Martin was hit by a pitch and another pitch in the next inning buzzed under his chin -- all of this following Brett Myers pitching behind Manny Ramirez in Game 2 -- Hiroki Kuroda threw over the head of Shane Victorino.
Victorino forcefully explained to anyone who would listen, "throw at my ribs, not at my head!" The top of the third ended with a Victorino ground out but words were exchanged and the benches cleared. No punches were thrown, but J.C. Romero was on the scene and ready while Manny Ramirez did his best spider monkey imitation and was restrained.
