Given the way the Phillies have overtaken this city's attention, it is understandable that certain things that would normally be newsworthy are now flying under the radar. If anyone was every going to steal the Liberty Bell, now would be a great time.
But there is good news for those of us who follow both baseball and golf. For 2010 and 2011, Tiger Woods' PGA Tour event, the AT&T National, will be held in the Philadelphia area, at Aronimink Country Club.
This is great news and hopefully this and the 2013 US Open Open at Merion will open the eyes of the big mahoffs in golf that Philadelphia deserves a regular PGA Tour tournament.
