Persona Non Grata: Lou Pinella

A closer look at the boxscore of last night's game between the NL Central champ-Cubs and Mets will leave a bitter taste in your mouth.

On the Mets side, we see the usual suspects: Jose Reyes, David Wright, Carlos Delgado, Carlos Beltran, etc.  But on the Cubs side we see names such as McGehee, Hoffpauir, Pie and Hart in the place of names that carry significantly more gravitas such as Beltre, Soriano, Lee and Wood.

Thanks for nothing, Lou.

You know these games mean something right?

On the bright side, with three games remaining the Phillies will take on the Nationals (55-99) at home while the Mets have the Marlins (82-76) in town.  Speaking of bitter, the Marlins are still angry about being closed out of the playoffs just a few days ago and judging from what their players are saying, they're quite motivated to do some damage against the Mets.

Things still look good for the Phils, but "Sweet Lou" certainly wouldn't have anyone holding the door for him at WaWa if he was in town today.
