[To returning readers: New content will publish below this post until July 10, when voting ends]
In 2004, Bobby Abreu was voted onto the last available roster spot on the National League All-Star team via a public online vote. This year, Pat Burrell has been nominated for that same spot.
Back then, in 2004, the Phlogosphere was in its infancy, so imagine what we can do for Pat's chances that we couldn't do in 2004? Plus, Pat has an even better case to make the team than Abreu had back four years ago, ranking among the league leaders in numerous statistical categories.
To vote for Pat, you've got two options:
- Go to this page on MLB.com, fill out the form, register, and vote. You can vote 25 times per registered email address. Or...
- Even better, you can vote an unlimited number of times by text message on your mobile phone, just send "N1" to 36197. Your standard fees/rates apply.
[Thanks to Meech at The Fightins for laying out the voting methods.]
Vote early! Vote often!
