Still Not All that Inspiring

Earlier in the week, Charlie's quotes weren't exactly brimming with confidence.

They still aren't.

From Scott Lauber's excellent blog at the News-Journal:

"We kept having to bounce back last year, and it looks like we're going to have to do that again."

And, from the Daily News:

"I don't know," Manuel said. "We'll see when we get there. We've got plenty of time. [Next] Saturday's a long way off. Hell, I might be dead by then."

I almost get the impression Manuel would rather go to the great ballpark in the sky rather than manage the pitching staff.
