Less than 24 hours after coming out of the Phillies dugout for a curtain call after hitting a three-run home run in a tie game, Coste had this to say:
"I joke that it would be nice to be around here long enough to get booed," Coste said.
Mock horror crossed his face.
"That," he said pointedly, "is just a joke."
The way things are going, for that to happen, he would have to get caught in a photograph kicking a puppy or pushing an old lady out of the way to get out of a burning building.
