Better Late Than Never

It took a little longer than we would have liked to get on the same page, but the prolific Jeff Sackmann of Brew Crew Ball, Beyond the Boxscore, The Hardball Times plus the creator of the brilliant Minor League Splits and College Splits databases, interviewed me via email as a preview for the current Brewers/Phillies series in Philadelphia.

I enjoy doing these types of things because it forces me to take a step back and think about things in terms of "the big picture".  When you follow a team day in, day out, the proper perspective can sometimes escape you.

Without further ado, here's the link.

[And by the way, when I compared Wes Helms' range at third base to Rodin's "The Thinker", it was before he had that clutch hit in the eighth inning last night... Not that his range had anything to do with it, but now I feel guilty.]

One final matter, I'd like to thank everyone for their compliments of this site when sending in their entries for the 10,000 Losses Pool.  A lot of you were folks I'd never heard from before, and I appreciate the kind words.
