Show of hands, how many of you thought Tiki Barber and Brandon Jacobs were going to combine for 80 points for the Giants against the Eagles?
Somehow, some way, the much-maligned Eagles defense, ranked 29th in the NFL against the run, managed to hold the Giants to just 88 yards.
While that was a huge key to the 36-22 victory at the Meadowlands, perhaps the most important factor was turnovers. The Giants lost two fumbles and threw two interceptions, one of which was run in for a touchdown by the Eagles idiot kicker, Trent Cole, to ice the victory.
What safety Brian Dawkins means to this Eagles team -- historically or in the present -- can not be overstated. In today's game, he was credited with eleven tackles, two forced fumbles and one interception.
