It is rare that events live up to their hype. Today's Eagles/Cowboys game was the exception.

Thoughts & Observations:
- Obviously Lito Sheppard's interception/touchdown/nail-in-the-coffin in the closing seconds was fantastic, but really, with the exception of Terry Glenn's long reception just a few plays before, the secondary played quite well.
- Darren Howard was a monster. He had two sacks and I'm willing to bet he knew the flavor of the chewing gum Drew Bledsoe likely swallowed at some point.
- I love the flea flicker.
- Thankfully it didn't come back to bite the Eagles, but L.J. Smith's feeble attempt at, whatever the heck that was, presumably a tackle, on the touchdown run of the Cowboys' Demarcus Ware was just embarrassing.
- What. a. game.
- A suggestion: Stop clamoring for the Eagles to be more aggressive running the football. It's not going to happen, and week after week, we see they don't really need a running game the way some teams do.
- Wasn't today the day that Philadelphia sports fans were going to embarrass their mothers all day long on national television? From where I sat in the comfortable confines of my living room, it seemed to be the crowd was on very good behavior.
- The 2006 Eagles are not as good as the 2004 version, but they are quite good. If the loss of Jevon Kearse is the only significant injury they experience from here on out, they are going to be hard to beat.
- The PSAAL has been lowered to guarded for the coming week.
