...on 610 WIP that Pat Gillick has announced the Phillies will purchase the contract of Cole 
Hamels from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons, and Hamels will make his first major league start on Friday in Cincinnati against the Reds.
The report confirms Todd Zolecki's speculation in the Inquirer.
As of this writing [12:22 PM], plane tickets from Philadelphia to Cincinnati are $173, roundtrip.
Update: It appears as if Zolecki is now double confirming the report.
