The Phillies have now won their sixth game in a row. Gavin Floyd, while still shaky, got the win by allowing three runs in six innings. Two of the three players who most likely represent the Phillies future Ryan Howard and Chase Utley each hit two mammouth homeruns to power the Phillies offense. Aaron Rowand added a homerun off of Tim Worrell [karma!] in the eighth inning. Final score, 8-3.
Barry Bonds survived the game physically, if not mentally, and was held hitless by Gavin Floyd and Aaron Fultz. Swing and a Miss, Shallow Center, and The 700 Level were all in attendance and none reported any poor displays on the part of phans. Presumably, the Beerleaguer was not in attendance in order to properly prepare for the two weeks he has been looking forward to for years now: Carlos Ruiz's first cup of coffee in the bigs.
Next up, the Phils try and make it seven in a row by sending Ryan Madson in to face Jamey Wright.
