Remember in Old School when Weensie was yanked off the ledge to the ground below...The cinderblock? The rope? Right, now you remember...You repressed it didn't you? Any man in his right mind would. Do you remember what Beanie yelled down to Weensie? He said something to the effect of, "Walk it off big guy, it wasn't supposed to go down like this."
If I had the Phillies in front of me right now, that is what I would tell them.
For a preview of today's game, check out Cardnilly. The readers of that site as well as Cardinals Diaspora should be stopping by again, let's show 'em what we're made of in the comments section...
First inning update: On a 1-0 count, batting from the right side against lefthander Mark Mulder, Rollins pulled a pitch down the left field line for a double. 38 in a row and counting!
Third inning update: Despite recent history, J-Roll is pulling the ball while batting from the right side, hitting another double, this one off the fence in left field...would it have been a home run in 2005, before the changes were made?
Fourth inning: Is it me or do the Cardinals lead the league in little guys who choke up on the bat? ...Aaron Miles...David Eckstein...
Seventh Inning: David Bell hits a two out, two run homerun to tie the game at 3. He just mashes lefties.
