Friday night the authors of Shallow Center, Beerleaguer, Caught Looking, and Swing and a Miss, plus yours truly, got together for several pints of Guinness. We had a wonderful time, and the more Guinness we consumed, the more we became sure that the Phillies would win the World Series in 2006 [brilliant!].
Little did the five of us know that we would be the subject of an article in the "Saturday reViews" section of the Philadelphia Inquirer, along with the author of Phillies Nation. It seems as if the editors chose to run a story that Daniel Rubin of the Inquirer had written and posted to Blinq earlier in the week.
But fear not phaithful readers, I for one shall not let this fame go to my head as I've had some experience with this type of thing in the past. After all, I was written up in the Pottsville Republican when I won the 1991 Schuylkill County Junior Amateur Golf Championship. So as you see, fame is nothing new to me.
