Niel Armstrong, the famous astronaut, is credited with saying, "I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises."
Judging from PGA Tour player John Daly's appearance, he is someone who has taken this philosophy seriously. And so if you tune into "The Daily Planet", which begins airing in January, you'll be able to observe the lifestyle that goes into creating such girth.
Yes, it seems as if someone is finally giving the Mulleted One a reality TV show, a development which is long overdue.
As The Golf Blog points out, if the chapter of Rick Reilly's "Who's Your Caddy?" is any indication of what is in store for viewers, then it should be a great way to spend 30 to 60 minutes once a week.
In "Who's Your Caddy?", Reilly spends 24 consecutive hours with Long John in his natural habitat: Bars (even though he has quit drinking), exhibition matches. He observes Daly consume several dozen Diet Cokes, sing Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" in a bar, hit a drive 331 yards, and display why his nickname isn't Long John for the reasons that are obvious.
Like the peanut M&M's Daly is famous for eating (in between Diet Cokes and cigarettes), I think you'll find it's difficult to consume just one episode of "The Daily Planet".
